Writing Prompt: Christmas Wish
Posted by zoeforce on December 16, 2008
Writing Prompt: Write a couple of ways you could help fulfill a Christmas wish for a child/family in need. If you are a child, in what ways could you and your family help others during Christmas? Something as simple as baking cookies, or helping your community to collect toys makes a difference.
I am only one,
but I am one.
I can’t do everything,
but I can do something.

Writing Prompt: Birds
Posted by zoeforce on December 9, 2008
All year round birds are everywhere. During the summer we feed the humming birds. In the spring, fall, and winter months we fill up our bird feeders, which are pounded by birds daily. Filling up four seperate feeders every few days is a royal pain, but when those beautiful creatures of flight perch on a feeder it is worth all the trouble.
Writing Prompt for adults and children: Write about the different birds that find their way to your feeders. From season to season the types of birds change. Sometimes we are lucky to have rare birds and even birds that shouldn’t be in our neck of the woods. Write those observations and why you think they have migrated to your area. Is it global warming or did they just get off at the wrong exit? How often, if ever, do you see rare and unheard of birds at your feeders? Is there a common bird in your area that you have never seen?
